Most pregnant women suffer from backache because of the effects of relaxin on the joints and ligaments so I usually suggest my clients have a regular massage if they are suffering from any form of backache. Massage can also help to ease hip discomfort. Pregnancy Massage is carried out with the client lying on their side rather than their back to prevent putting pressure on the circulatory system. Any aromatherapy oils used are safe for pregnancy.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a very subtle but effective treatment, essential oils are chosen and blended to suit each individual client and applied using a gentle, relaxing massage. When applied to the skin the oils work immediately both through absorption and inhalation, combined with the benefits of massage this is a great way to relieve the build up of stress and tension.

This is a very relaxing treatment, and is an excellent way to unwind and find some 'me' time. Any oil left over from the massage is taken home to use between treatments.

Indian Head Massage

People who suffer from stress often complain that tension is stored in the shoulders, neck and head areas. Indian Head Massage provides a valuable treatment for stress-linked problems like headaches, migraine and eyestrain. IHM is said to help to improve hair condition and is an excellent way to relax.

This treatment involves a firm massage to help un-knot muscles, clear blockages and relieve the build up of tension. The client remains clothed and seated upright, no oils are used in this treatment unless specifically requested. The massage works on the upper back, shoulders, neck, face and scalp.

Hopi Ear Candles - Indian Relaxation Ceremony

Hopi ear candles have a purely physical purpose, a light suction action and the movement of the flame creates a vibration generating a gentle, relaxing massage of the eardrum.
